What we collect

Nothing you type. There is no sign-up, no newsletter, no comment section and no contact form on this site. The cost calculator runs entirely in your browser and the answers you give it are never sent to us or stored anywhere.

What is collected automatically

Like any website, our host records standard server logs when a page is served, including IP address, browser type and the page requested. These are used to keep the site running and to spot abuse.

We use privacy-oriented analytics to count page views and see which guides get read. It does not set advertising cookies, does not build a profile of you, and does not follow you to other sites.

Cookies

We do not set advertising or tracking cookies. Our hosting provider sets a security cookie to distinguish real visitors from automated traffic. Because we do not run non-essential cookies, there is no consent banner to click through.

Third parties

• Cloudflare delivers the site and filters malicious traffic. It processes request data including your IP address.
• Supabase stores the guide content and serves it to your browser. It does not receive personal data about you.
• Email. If you email us, we hold that email so we can reply to it. We do not add you to anything.

If you call the referral number on the cost calculator, you are dealing directly with that company under their own privacy policy, not ours.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask what personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. In practice, unless you have emailed us, we hold nothing that identifies you.

Children

This site is written for adults dealing with a housing problem. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the foot of the page changes with it. Material changes will be described rather than slipped in.
